Tantric Workshop

Tantric Workshop

  • Feeling blocked

  • Feeling unproductive

  • Feeling unworthy

  • Need to improve your connections and intimacy

Let's release tension, stress, anxiety, fears, doubt, depression and all that is holding you back and come alive again feeling lighter and happier to open to the love we all deserve!

Tantric Expansion will balance the emotional, mental, spiritual, psychological and physical states.

We will begin with a discussion of what Tantra is as well as partake in tantric rituals and Tantric Active Meditation.

Tantric Active Meditations are meditations created by Osho in which we use breath, sound and movement to release trauma, blockages and repression within the body.

Osho represents a revolution in making meditation, mindfulness, awareness, consciousness. His understanding is that when people try to “sit silently” as is widely recommended, they will notice the chatter and chaos within their heads. This difficulty frustrates people thus making them quit meditation or not even trying to start for fear of failure.
However, Osho points out, if we move our bodies “madly” – to express and release our accumulated stress and tensions – then we discover that the center is silent. Thus getting us to the desired state in meditation.

Most importantly however, these active meditations are is an ongoing transformational process which helps us master our mind and body, eventually enabling us to achieve a blissful and abundant state in our daily lives.

Anchored in the Breath: Yoga and Healing

This workshop like class we will explore breathwork and its purpose within the context of our yoga practice and daily life. We will breakdown various pranayama techniques, and how to utilize these techniques both on and off the mat. Class will conclude with a powerful Reiki infused Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Bath leaving you cleansed and vibrant.

Experience stress-reduction like you've never felt, connect with your higher consciousness, allow your body to go back into vibrational alignment, and allow yourself to heal at a cellular level. Come and benefit from the tranquility of sound healing and Reiki energy work. At a cellular level, we are 75% water. As the vibrations of the crystal and Tibetan singing bowls pass over our body (which is why it is also known as a sound bath), our brain waves go from Beta to Theta, and sometimes, if we go deep enough, to Delta. Our normal waking consciousness corresponds to the Beta state. With intentional breathing you’ll enter a state of absolute bliss.

Connection: Adjust and Assists

Artful assisting involves owning the space we are in, being a compassionate host, watching for what is possible in another, and providing empowerment that will create new possibilities for ourselves and others. This two-day workshop involves hands-on experience that will guide you to develop your intuitive, creative, and connected self, in the moment.

This workshop is for yoga teachers and current MYBO Oasis Flow program students to practice adjusts/assists with other teachers/teachers-in-training. Learn how to be with a student on their journey by meeting them where they are at, offering hands on adjustments or verbal assistance guiding students in the ‘direction’ of the pose based on their expression of the pose. We will examine approximately 5 postures (reviewing adjusts/assists); practice giving adjusts/assist; receive adjusts/assists (feeling them in your body), group discussion, and time for questions.

Essential Sequencing: Warriors and Twists

Essential Sequencing: Warriors and Twists

Warrior and Standing poses are basic to any Vinyasa Flow Yoga class. But because these classes often move at a quick pace, there is little time for individual instruction on the proper execution of poses. Twists rotate the spine and strengthen and stretch the muscles. This helps to restore and retain the spine’s natural range of motion, which tends to decrease as we age. They stimulate circulation, creating heat and releasing tension in the muscles of the spine, abdomen and rib cage which helps other systems in the body (such as digestion and elimination) work more effectively. At the emotional level, these postures ground us, connect us with the earth element, and center our minds. These benefits are available to all of us, but the degree to which we absorb them is limited by the quality of our practice and the precision of our alignment. In this workshop, we will pause and break down, then reconstruct, the Warrior asanas for a better, safer flow. Furthermore, we’ll explore passive and active twists in ways that specifically suit our own unique body and practice.

The workshop will teach you how to:

- Strengthen your outer Warrior through proper alignment
- Strengthen your inner Warrior and build your self esteem
- Focus on external hip rotators for the Warrior 2 series and neutral hip rotators for the Warrior 1 series
- Connect your Warrior to Down Dog, Twists and other poses to streamline your flow
- Understand the different body types to determine best alignment practices
- Avoid the most common mistakes when practicing Warriors and Twists

Please bring your questions as we will save time to answer them at the end of the workshop.

All levels welcome.
