Yoga Wall Training

Yoga Wall Training

The Yoga Wall allows one to feel a yoga pose without the weight of their body, thus feeling what the asana should feel like. It also allows students to hold yoga poses longer with better alignment, and therefore to get more benefit out of their practice. Amanda Shipe (trained by Bryan Legere, founder of the Yoga Wall) will lead Yoga Wall Teacher Training to teach you how to properly and safely use the Yoga Wall to teach Yoga Wall Group or Private Classes.

We will cover a variety of therapeutic applications that will help you help students relieve chronic pain, prevent injury, and strengthen their entire body. You will leave the program knowing at least 5 class sequences so you are ready to teach when you are comfortable. At the conclusion: If you are already a 200RYT, you will be able to teach both group classes at MYBO and private and semi private classes.

9/21/19 is the foundations of Yoga Wall for anyone to attend.

9/22/19 is advancing sequences to sharpen skills and advance teaching.

Tantric Workshop

Tantric Workshop

  • Feeling blocked

  • Feeling unproductive

  • Feeling unworthy

  • Need to improve your connections and intimacy

Let's release tension, stress, anxiety, fears, doubt, depression and all that is holding you back and come alive again feeling lighter and happier to open to the love we all deserve!

Tantric Expansion will balance the emotional, mental, spiritual, psychological and physical states.

We will begin with a discussion of what Tantra is as well as partake in tantric rituals and Tantric Active Meditation.

Tantric Active Meditations are meditations created by Osho in which we use breath, sound and movement to release trauma, blockages and repression within the body.

Osho represents a revolution in making meditation, mindfulness, awareness, consciousness. His understanding is that when people try to “sit silently” as is widely recommended, they will notice the chatter and chaos within their heads. This difficulty frustrates people thus making them quit meditation or not even trying to start for fear of failure.
However, Osho points out, if we move our bodies “madly” – to express and release our accumulated stress and tensions – then we discover that the center is silent. Thus getting us to the desired state in meditation.

Most importantly however, these active meditations are is an ongoing transformational process which helps us master our mind and body, eventually enabling us to achieve a blissful and abundant state in our daily lives.

Prerequisite – Open to All
In order to complete Level 2 you must first complete Level 1 (unless an exception is made by the lead instructors).

Thai Massage aka "Lazy Man's Yoga" is for everyone!
The well-being of your family, friends, and community can be permanently uplifted by your choice to share compassionate touch, which is why we have developed MYBO Sensorial Thai Massage Technique. Steve Brown and Bebe Khambay are leading Level 2. Steve graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in August ’98 and has successfully completed workshops in Shiatsu, Reflexology, the Alexander Technique and Hot Stone Massage treatments and is certified in Thai Massage. He has been leading Thai Massage trainings for many years and is able to provide CEs for NCBTMB for MYBO trainings.
Tidasavanh was founded by Bebe Khambay. He grew up in Vientiane, Laos that borders with Thailand. “Nuad Bo Han” or Thai massage is part of his culture. He was taught by village elders to give Thai massage from the age of 9. He started by stepping on the backs of his family’s elders. He also prepared herbal medicines to help relieve aches and pains from X daily activities. He learned his massage style mostly from a teacher who taught blind people how to do massage in Vientiane, Laos. Bebe came to USA in 200 and moved to Virginia In 2007. He has been working at therapy centers in Northern Virginia since 2009 as a licensed massage practitioner and is a graduate from Northern Virginia Therapeutic Massage School.

Traditional Thai Massage is performed on a mat on the floor through comfortable loose clothing. It is an accessible form of massage, combining meditation, stretches, acupressure/compressions, reflexology and energy movement. You don’t have to be an expert to produce outstanding results. This system makes learning easy and this workshop shows you how to tap into your own innate abilities to give a sensational massage. Learn how to deliver a complete 60, 75, 90, and 120 minute massage, focusing on:

Safe and effective massage techniques that anyone can master
Practice principles of body alignment
Integrate Metta (loving kindness) and meditation into your massage
Massage for shoulders, head, back, hands, legs, abdomen, and feet
Perfect for people without any bodywork experience, this training is also invaluable as continuing education for massage practitioners. The gift of compassionate touch is empowering and available to everyone ready to discover it.
