Yoga for Beginners Series (Sunday Sessions)


Are you interested in yoga but don't know where to start? Want to know the difference between an "ustrasana" and an "utkatasana"? Don't know whether you like restorative or vinyasa yoga? This series focused on the fundamentals of yoga is designed for beginners of all ages. Participants will learn basic yoga philosophy, terminology, principles, and studio etiquette. Most of the series will focus on how to correctly practice basic yoga postures (known as "asanas" in yoga) and the benefits associated with these asanas. The series will survey multiple styles of yoga, enabling students to make more informed and confident choices when choosing their yoga practice in a studio environment. Classes are kept small so that participants have the opportunity to ask questions, "workshop" and learn modifications for various poses, and receive individual feedback about their form and alignment. This is an ideal series for anyone new to yoga who wants to build a strong foundation and ease in to the practice in a supportive, safe, and fun environment.

All classes are taught by Yoga-Alliance certified Oasis teachers.

Sundays 5:30pm-7pm (Julia Lead Teacher) - Starting Jan 6th
1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10
Tuesdays 9:30am-11am (Molly Lead Teacher) - Starting Jan 15th
1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19
Wednesdays 7pm-8:30pm (Molly Lead Teacher) - Starting Jan 16th
1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20
