MYBO Signature Massage

It is our practice to ensure that no two massages are alike. Each client receives a customized experience based on their needs and our therapists’ extensive training within a variety of styles. The MYBO Signature Massage is ideal for relaxation, soothing your muscles, and healing. It is a full body combination session which blends techniques from many styles of practice including Swedish, Thai, or Deep Tissue massage, among a number of others. Each technique is gradually introduced to naturally relax the body, while thoroughly releasing muscle tension, soreness, and stress. This massage helps to increase blood flow and circulation, balance the nervous system, stimulate endorphins, release toxins, and calm the mind.


Fascia Blasting

Fascia Blasting, made popular by guru Ashley Black, can “lessen the look of cellulite, break down fat cells, reduce pain, improve muscle performance, and accelerate muscle recovery.” Fascia, the head-to-toe, fingertip-to-fingertip connective tissue that stretches throughout our entire body, helps us look, feel and function better when it is loose and healthy.

In this session, you work with the practitioner to your level of comfort, goals, and needs. Infrared sauna/blanket must be used prior to the session to warm the fascia and cupping will also be used to enhance the effects. You will have bruising and may feel tender. You’ll love how open and free your body feels after the session.

  • Every muscle and structure is surrounded and penetrated by an interconnected tissue network. The tissue is called fascia. Fascia helps contribute to the structure and functioning of the entire body. Over time the fascia tissue can become unhealthy due to lifestyle choices, previous injury and much more. Massaging the fascia, with the FasciaBlaster tools, can temporarily provide a number of benefits similar to a skilled massage. During a 90-day study that tested the effects of the Tools, ultrasound imaging showed the fascia tissue smoothing out and restoring from the skin layer down to the femur bone. Even an untrained eye can see how the “white tissue” was entangled and distorted in the “before” picture, then "smoothed out" after only 90 days. Since the fascial system houses and encases the blood vessels, you can imagine the impact healthy fascia can temporarily have on blood flow. Minimum for just legs is 60 minutes and full body is 90 mins or better yet 120 mins. A higherdose infrared sauna/blanket session 30 minutes before the session is required to heat the fascia for the session.

Hot Stone Massage

A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy that uses heated stones to promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, and improve circulation.  

  • Procedure:

    • The massage therapist heats smooth, river stones to a temperature between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. 

    • The stones are then placed on specific areas of the body, such as the back, neck, shoulders, or feet. 

    • The therapist uses the stones to perform massage techniques, such as gliding, kneading, and tapping. 

    • The stones may also be held in the hands or between the toes for additional heat therapy.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic massage, also known as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), is a specialized, gentle form of massage therapy that uses light pressure and rhythmic, circular strokes to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body. The primary purpose is to move excess fluid buildup and waste products away from tissues and toward the lymph nodes, where they can be filtered and eliminated. 

  • Key Characteristics

    • Light Pressure: Unlike deep tissue massage, MLD uses very light pressure, just enough to gently stretch the skin, because the lymphatic vessels are located just beneath the skin's surface.

    • Rhythmic, Directional Strokes:The therapist uses slow, specific, and repetitive motions (such as stationary circles, scoop, pump, and rotary techniques) to guide the lymph fluid toward areas with working lymph nodes, such as the neck, armpits, and groin.

    • Specific Sequence: A session typically begins by "clearing" the central drainage areas (e.g., neck and armpits) to make space for fluid from other areas, before moving to the swollen or affected tissues.

    • No Oils or Lotions: Generally, massage oils or lotions are avoided to ensure the therapist can effectively stretch the skin without slipping.

    • Deep Breathing: Sessions often incorporate deep diaphragmatic breathing exercises to help stimulate the deeper lymphatic pathways. 

    Primary Purpose and Benefits
    The main goal of MLD is to manage conditions where the lymphatic system is compromised, leading to swelling (edema or lymphedema). Benefits include: 

    • Reduced Swelling: Highly effective in relieving fluid retention and swelling, especially after surgery (like breast cancer surgery where lymph nodes may be removed) or injury.

    • Detoxification: Aids the body's natural processes by helping flush out waste products and toxins from the tissues.

    • Immune Support: Stimulates the lymphatic system, a key part of the immune system, which can help the body fight off infections more efficiently.

    • Relaxation and Pain Relief: The gentle, rhythmic nature of the massage can have a calming effect on the nervous system, reducing stress, promoting better sleep, and alleviating pain associated with conditions like fibromyalgia or arthritis.

    • Enhanced Healing: By reducing inflammation and improving circulation, it can accelerate the healing process after injuries or surgical procedures. 

Ayurvedic Herbal Massage

Udvartana is an invigorating traditional Indian treatment that helps strengthen the immune system, reduce systemic inflammation, stimulate blood and lymph circulation, and detoxify your body. The MYBO Ayurveda Massage stays true to the ancestral method of this lineage, passed from an elder/guru in India and taught to our therapists. This therapy involves body scrubbing using heated coconut oil and a mixture of different natural herbs (Ashwagandha) in a powder form to “marinate” the body and exfoliate the outer skin while helping to reduce excess cellulite and fat accumulated under the skin. This massage brings nourishment to the tissues, cells and energy channels; brings deep relaxation to the muscles, improves sexual vitality, reduces stress, and brings calmness to one's mind and nervous system. This also helps regulate sleep patterns and circadian rhythm. Minimum 75 mins but 90 or 120 is best!

  • After the session, most clients feel very relaxed and blissful so we request you to take at least 60 minutes to relax (enjoy our infrared sauna with the powders and oils on your skin). We do not recommend doing anything after this massage (like driving in traffic, going to Target, having an intense meeting, etc).

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many reasons, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

  • Cupping has a detoxifying effect on the skin and circulatory systems and is also significant with a visible improvement in skin color after three to five treatments. Cupping removes toxins and improves blood flow through the veins and arteries. Especially useful for yogis and athletes as well as office workers. Cupping also affects the digestive system. A few benefits include an improved metabolism, relief from constipation, a healthy appetite, and stronger digestion.
    Mind Your Body Oasis offer flame free cupping services. Cupping could leave red, circular marks on the treated area – which may take around 10 days to fade, and could stick around for up to a month. 

    You will have the circle shaped bruising, especially in areas where you have adhesions and congestion. The “fire” is brought to the surface.

Champi Head Massage

Champi head massage is a traditional Indian Ayurvedic practice that uses nourishing oils to massage the scalp, neck, and shoulders to relieve stress, promote relaxation, and improve hair and scalp health. It involves a combination of techniques like kneading, circular motions, and gentle tugging on hair, often focusing on acupressure points to improve circulation and soothe muscles. Benefits include reduced headaches and anxiety, improved sleep, and enhanced hair growth.

    One method is Reiki which is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.

    Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves and help others. It is believed that a person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free flowing. When this is true a person’s body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.

    A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one’s personal wellness. This session can be done in person or long distance.

  • For our Oasis Sound Healing Experience, our Healing Practitioner combines sound therapy while you are bathed in the light and essential oil therapy for each specific chakra. Gentle and intentional sensory stimulation is healing for the mind, emotions, and body. Listening to sound assists with deep relaxation which is one key aspect of meditation. Tibetan and Crystal bowls have been proven by the scientific community to heal the body. The sounds of Om and Om Namath Shivaya mantras, the crystal bowl attuned to each chakra, chimes, drums, rattles, shakers, or the seed sound that resonates with each chakra may be chanted or played during the therapy.

  • An infrared sauna session involves sitting in our wooden sauna heated by infrared lamps for 30-60 minutes, during which time the radiant heat directly warms the body to promote deep sweating and relaxation. Unlike traditional saunas, the air temperature is lower, typically between 110°F and 145°F as the heat penetrates the body instead of the air around it. Sessions should be preceded and followed by hydration, and you may choose to wear light clothing or go in nude for maximum heat penetration.  Please bring a large beach towel to sit on.

    Before your session 

    • Hydrate: Drink water to prepare your body for the session.

    • Cleanse: Take a warm shower to cleanse your skin. 

    During your session 

    • Duration: A typical session lasts 30 to 60 minutes.

    • Comfort: Find a comfortable position (sitting or lying down). You can wear lightweight clothing or go nude, depending on your preference for heat penetration.

    • Heat: You will feel a gentle, radiant heat that heats your body from the inside out, causing you to sweat without feeling overheated.

    • Relaxation: You can use the time to relax by listening to music, a podcast, napping or reading. 

    After your session 

    • Hydrate again: Drink plenty of water to replenish lost fluids. Electrolyte drinks may also be beneficial.

    • Stretch: Light stretching can be beneficial for further relaxation and muscle recovery.
